1. Do you offer different types of delivery? | Standard – A dedicated direct transport for your pet/s only, usually over distance. Backload – Same but discounted, date and price specific. Terms for service differ from standard. |
2. Why is my short journey quote expensive? | Short journeys can be made more competitive as a backload trip. A short journey booking could deprive me of a significant booking for that day and carries more overhead to access depending on location. As I mainly do a single customer’s pet/s at any one time this is also a limiting factor. |
3. Why quote and not price? | The quote is an in principle cost. It could depend on the actual date and circumstances. If a date is already booked or the trip is a short one this ‘quote’ may only be valid for a particular day/times. Basically the quote stands but will depend on availability for a day and time which is suitable. |
4. How to book? | 1. Obtain a quote online via booking or through the contact page. 2. Provide delivery and contact details. 3. Pay booking fee to secure a particular date. |
5. What details do I need to provide? | You need to provide your full name as the customer as well as contact names, addresses and telephone for collection and delivery. Also a description of the animal, moving circumstance & desired payment method. This has to be all done along with the booking fee paid several days before delivery. Otherwise I will just have to cancel as these things are required for the delivery. |
6. How can I pay? | Payments can be done via Bank Transfer, by card from e-invoice payment link, mobile phone paylink and in person using card machine or good old fashioned cash. |
7. What if I want to cancel? | See T&C’s. In general I do not mind you cancelling just try not to do it at the very last minute as it leaves me very little time to fill that lost delivery slot. |
8. Why do you want to charge more/less than the online quote? | The online auto quotation is usually accurate in most cases but it’s not totally definitive. Sometimes I have to charge a little more or maybe less depending on circumstances. These are quotations and the logic cannot deal with factors such as congestion charges, very remote or bank holidays etc.. I will always try to give the best quote that I can. |
9. I paid more via Shiply/Uship! Why? | Both these platforms add around 14 – 18% give or take as their fee. This is their charge for use of their service for customer and provider alike. I reduce my quote by 10% for this reason as they do source the customer and take care of some admin. I consider this an advertising/admin cost of these sites but it will still cost a bit more through these sites for delivery. |
10. I booked a day now cannot get that day, why? | I try to keep the online booking system updated. BUT because I can get bookings from a number of places it is possible the server is not updated correctly. |
